PR AND MARKETING ASSISTANT

Full Time 14,000K - 16,000K per annum depending on experience.

Showcasing the very best in local DJs and bands, as well as bringing to Aberdeen some of the most exciting international artists has earned us a reputation as one of the leading music venues in the UK. The Athenaeum is our sister bar and restaurant located above the club, and features the same drive and passion for quality and individuality.
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a PR and Marketing Assistant to join Snafu and The Athenaeum team.
This is a great opportunity for someone keen to work in a fast moving, music led business and develop a career in Marketing Management. The position would suit a keen and enthusiastic individual, ideally with experience of working within the music industry. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines are required for this demanding position. The successful applicant will need strong writing and editing skills to produce lively, interesting copy for press releases, corporate and publicity material, and ensure that marketing material suits our wide range of audiences.
Key responsibilities include initiating, planning and delivering PR and marketing campaigns, maximising publicity opportunities, managing press enquiries and enhancing the company’s reputation. You will also be responsible for a PR team, online marketing, managing databases and customer loyalty schemes.
Other duties include liasing with promoters and booking agents, organising travel arrangements and private events. In addition you will be expected to provide analysis on competitors, clients and markets.
